Responsibilities: To ensure that Sterile Processing technicians at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital are properly trained and operating within the guidelines set forth by various industry standards and regulations including, but not limited to IAHCSMM, CBSPD, AAMI, AORN, OSHA, and accrediting bodies. Performs various other training duties related to instrument processing as necessary. Qualifications: EducationH.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) RequiredCompletion of an accredited sterile processing or surgical technology course. Online programs that do not offer hands on instruction or experience will not be accepted RequiredWork Experience5 years experience of active work within the sterile processing department, as a Technician, Coordinator or Lead RequiredLicenses and CertificationsCurrent certification as a Sterile Processing Technician from one of the two certification boards (IAHCSMM or CSPD) RequiredAdditional Licenses and CertificationsCertification of an instrument specialist within (1) year of employment Required Business Unit : Company Name: Piedmont Atlanta Hospital
