GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for oversight of multi-site retail security operations within the Chicago-based regional grouping. Provides leadership, guidance, operational oversight and accountability for security personnel within the assigned regional accounts. Manage Area Managers in the assigned Region. Interacts with customer continuously to ensure customer satisfaction in daily operations and will resolve issues. Visits client sites to ensure adequate Supervisory and Officer staffing and compliance with all client requirements. Assesses skills of Managers, formulate training needed and develop career path. Provides training programs that will provide qualified personnel. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Essential functions of the job are denoted by an asterisk (*). Other duties may also be assigned. The incumbent: *Provides operational guidance to the assigned Region for all operational issues, customer satisfaction, process auditing and company business objectives. Full P & L responsibility. *Audits assigned client sites to ensure compliance with post orders, common best practices, and Andy Frain Services policies, and procedures. Meet with site management to determine status of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). *Assists Area Managers in investigations of customer complaints, Officer misconduct, performance issues and violations of customer or company standing orders or policy. Ensures timely notification to Director of Operations. *Works closely with the Director of Operations to assure the efficient, effective and compliant operation of assigned Accounts within the Regional Area responsibility. *Proactively identifies risks to customer employees and company assets (buildings, equipment, etc.). Plays a central role in ensuring a safe, healthy and secure workplace. Partners with customer to provide solutions incorporating security best practices. *Conduct new site physical security surveys to determine the needs and recommend appropriate security measures and staffing. *Will be responsible for selection, orientation and professional development of Area Managers and other personnel. Guides staff in strengthening competencies and meeting client needs. *Will be an effective member of and/or lead project teams. *Acts as readily available resource to customer Security Staff and Area Managers in the regional area. *Meets regularly with customers to proactively address security, emergency and safety matters. *Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner. SUPERVISORY DUTIES: In accordance with applicable Andy Frain Services policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervises: Area Managers Operations Managers And others as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location. Candidates must reside in the greater Chicago market or be willing to relocate prior to start date. Knowledge: Bachelor's degree required, CPP certification preferable. Minimum five (5) years of progressive management experience required including oversight of multi-site operations and direct-report management staff. Prior Military leadership or Law Enforcement supervisory experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of planning, security operations management, workplace health and safety issues, and training. Evidence of ability to work autonomously using sound judgment reflecting strong customer orientation. Strong work ethic and ability to make sound decisions with integrity. Skills/Abilities: Strong oral and written communications skills. Strong computer skills required. Superior planning, organization and leadership/supervisory skills. Strong customer and quality orientation. Prior training experience preferred. Ability to be a hands-on, results oriented employee, handling multiple priorities simultaneously PHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
