Senior Ammonia Refrigeration ManagerJob Summary: Economically and efficiently manage and maintain the facility and all equipment, including HVAC & refrigeration systems, to the highest safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities:Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of maintenance and refrigeration team members to work in a safe manner in accordance with regulatory agencies and company standardsTravel to and from locations monthly to ensure procedures and maintaining of equipment and software is being exercised by associates. Ensure that the Ammonia Plant refrigeration equipment, material handling equipment, and fire suppression systems are operating in a safe and efficient mannerEffectively manage ePSM and verify scheduled preventive maintenance program to take corrective actions and avoid down timeReview and sign off on tasks and documentation are completed neatly, thoroughly, accurately and timelySupport achievement of company business plans, strategies and objectives by coordinating the use of shared resources with other departments and locationsEncourage “win/win” outcomes, leading by example to show cooperativeness, flexibility, and willingness to changePromote exceptional Customer Service by creating an environment that promotes building and maintaining effective communication with vendors, and internal and external customersManage work order system for general repairs and maintenance on building and grounds. Work and train associates and vendors to utilize the company implemented CMMS. Participate in planning policies, procedures, goals and objectives regarding the physical plantMajor maintenance projects manage and schedule outside maintenance vendors through RFP (Request for Proposal) for such work and effectively coordinate with outside contractors, vendors, and government agencies in order to maintain the safety of the team members within the facility. Participate in budgetary responsibilities to control facility ammonia maintenance expenses and offer input in capital budget recommendations with the Director of Facilities Manager, Corporate Engineer, VP of Construction and Plant Director. Encourage team to maintain a safe work environment where team members feel a personal sense of responsibility for themselves and othersMonitor and manage the shop’s safety and sanitation levelsPromote the following of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards in the facility, and maintain a neat and clean work environment, free of hazardsActively participate in investigating accidents and near misses in a timely and efficient mannerMonitor and maintain departmental payroll to include checking computerized time/attendance daily for proper time clock punches in the system, coordinating PTO requests for staffing purposes. Valid US Driver’s LicenseIn accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $128,500.00 - $164,000.00
