You will ensure safe and effective nursing care rendered postoperatively until the patient is dismissed from the facility. With your expertise, our center continue its’ legacy of employing nurses who contribute to the company’s mission and vision.What you will do in this role:Prepare your patients’ care area adequately and ensure necessary equipment and supplies and providedYou will demonstrate proper airway management techniquesMonitor your patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.).You will exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locksPerform and document head to toe evaluation of your patients utilizing an approved scoring system in line with HCA policy and procedureCheck dressings and/or operative site of your patients and report abnormalities to the surgeonProvide a safe and comforting environment for your patients and familyEnsure your patients meet discharge criteriaQualifications you will need:Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or SurgeryActive RN license as required by state of employmentBCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptableACLS required within 30-days of hirePALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire BenefitsMethodist ASC Landmark, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues. We are an ambulatory surgerycenter affiliated with Methodist Healthcare System. Our center specializes in outpatient same-day surgicalprocedures. We provide our services to the residents of San Antonio, Bexar County and the surroundingcommunities in the Hill Country and South Texas areas.Landmark specializes in same-day surgical procedures that allows patients to recover at home. We are anew facility with experienced physicians. We bring the quality of care you have come to associate with theMethodist Healthcare System. We offer a state of the art facility with 5 ORs and 1 GI room. The centeris projected to perform 6000 cases per year when fully functional. Our location is near the northwestinterchange of 1604 and I-10. Landmark is easily accessible to make your outpatient surgery experiencehassle-free.
