You’ll verify that customer needs are met promptly and professionally while keeping transportation operations efficient and compliant.Responsibilities include:Coordinate driver activities and shuttle assignmentsMinimize hours of service violations and reduce downtimeEnsure drivers are using Omnitracs and POD scanners correctlyReassign routes and assign backhauls efficientlyManage trailer, tractor, and yard equipment assignmentsNotify supervisors and safety specialists in the event of accidents or injuriesVerify PPE and proper uniform compliance for driversCommunicate with operations and sales regarding service issuesMaintain attendance reports and documentationDistribute intercompany mail and complete other assigned dutiesWhat You Bring to the TableEducation/Training:High school diploma or GED requiredExperience & Skills:Minimum one year of transportation or logistics experienceWorking knowledge of DOT Hours of Service and driver logsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work under pressurePrevious dispatcher experience preferredFamiliarity with the geographic delivery area is a plusWork EnvironmentOffice and warehouse setting, including freezer/cooler zones (as low as -5°F)Occasionally required to walk, climb, stoop, kneel, push/pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequent sitting, occasional standing, and manual dexterity for computer useCompensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.The expected base rate for this role is between $17.00 and $25.00 per hour.This role will also receive:Overtime compensationBenefits for this role may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance. To review available benefits, please click here: Origin/Protected Veteran/Disability Status***Stay updated by following US FOODS® on any of our social media platforms at the bottom of the page! ***EOE – Race/Color/Religion/Sex/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/National Origin/Age/Genetic Information/Protected Veteran/Disability Status*** Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).  The expected base rate for this role is between$17 - $26***EOE – Race/Color/Religion/Sex/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/National Origin/Age/Genetic Information/Protected Veteran/Disability Status***
