Behavioral Health Therapist-First Step & AccessSalary Range:Master's Level: $58,011 - $69,618 annually based on relevant years of experienceMaster's Licensed: $66,040 - $79,217 annually based on relevant years of experienceLocation: Loveland & Fort Collins, ColoradoStatus: Full Time, Salaried, 40 hours per weekHours: On-site, Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00The salary range for this position is SummitStone’s good faith belief and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this position at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including the applicant’s education, training, skills, experiences, and other job-related information and how relevant those are to SummitStone’s needs, aspirations, organizational priorities, and the evolving needs and delivery of services to the community that it serves.Role Overview:The Behavioral Health Therapist provides same day and scheduled point-of-entry services, including screenings, assessments, treatment planning, brief therapy, referral, crisis intervention, and case management, to all ages seeking mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment. This position works closely with other internal and external providers to ensure appropriate placement in services and continuity of care. Position requires flexibility, independence, and strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Essential Duties:• Direct client care includes brief therapy, care coordination, behavioral health screenings and assessments, case management, and related clinical services.• Collaborate with other staff in a treatment team model by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical services.• Serve as a clinical resource person to building site(s), clinical staff, case managers, medical providers, and collaterals.• Provide ongoing care coordination within SummitStone, community agencies and resources. • Provide crisis intervention to include crisis assessment and de-escalation.• Train in and use evidence-based treatment models for a range of mental health and substance use disorders, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Single Session Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trauma-focused therapies.• Concurrent clinical documentation in electronic medical record system • Support and foster team values with peers and clinic staff, to provide support and remove barriers.• Learn and follow professional policies and procedures.• Maintain superior customer service for internal and external customers by providing information and answering questions/requests in timely manner.• May participate on committees (both internal and external), in meetings, and work on projects as assigned.• Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university • Licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAC) • Experience and/or coursework in working with a range of client ages and presentations.• Proficiency in using computers and telehealth systems.• Addictions Counselor training/certification or willingness to pursue.• At least one year of experience with mild to severe mental illness and substance use disorders.
