If you’re an experienced diesel professional who wants long-term stability, challenging work, and a company that rewards expertise, this is the role for you.ScheduleMonday–Friday 1:00 PM – 9:30 PMOvertime: 3–10 hours per week on averagePayHourly Pay: $35.00 – $36.00/hourShift Differential: +$1.50/hourCDL Premium: +$1.00/hour for CDL holdersTool Allowance: $125/monthResponsibilitiesPerform advanced maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, and heavy-duty equipmentDiagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, brake, and air systems with accuracy and efficiencyIndependently complete and resolve issues identified through Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)Conduct thorough safety inspections and maintain OSHA compliance at all timesUtilize diagnostic tools and fleet maintenance software to track and document high-quality workMaintain a professional, organized, and safety-driven work environmentCommunicate clearly and professionally with drivers, supervisors, and the maintenance teamDrive class 8 commercial vehicles between locationsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsEquipment may have dirt, debris, or waste-related residue, but the shop itself is organized, well-lit, and kept to high cleanliness standardsThe company issues coveralls or work shirts and pants, along with an annual steel-toe boot voucher, to ensure technicians are protected and comfortableExposure to typical shop conditions, including diesel fumes, noise, hydraulic fluids, lubricants, and outdoor elements when performing certain repairsWork may involve wet or slippery surfaces and requires awareness of moving vehicles and equipmentRequires frequent standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and crawling under trucks, as well as safely lifting 50+ lbsAll technicians receive ongoing safety training, PPE, and follow OSHA and company safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environmentMinimum QualificationsMinimum 3–5 years of professional diesel mechanic experience working on heavy-duty trucks, tractors, or trailersAdvanced diagnostic ability with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and after-treatment systems (DEF, DPF, SCR)Must provide a comprehensive personal tool set, including specialty tools required for heavy-duty repairsProficiency with fleet maintenance software and the ability to accurately enter, track, and close work ordersStrong understanding of DOT, OSHA, and manufacturer maintenance standardsValid driver’s license required; Class A or B CDL strongly preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and OEM service bulletinsDemonstrated experience with brake adjustments, suspension systems, steering, hydraulics, and air systemsAbility to safely lift 50+ lbs, work in tight spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks on refuse equipmentWelding, fabrication, or cutting torch experience preferredMust be able to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality, timely repairsSafety-sensitive: YESTo be considered for any of our current openings, you must complete an application at .
