Senior Linux Systems Administrator

MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join our diverse team in Hanover, MD. In this role, you will support our mission and contribute to a dynamic environment that values innovation and national security.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide comprehensive administration and support for multi-platform operating system environmentsDesign and implement automated security hardening solutions to enhance scalability and streamline operating system deploymentsConfigure and maintain host-based security and intrusion detection systemsMonitor system performance and investigate detected anomalies to ensure operational integrityDevelop and deploy automation scripts to manage server integration and reduce manual configuration errorsAnalyze system and security logs to identify and respond to real-time events and provide status updates to leadershipConduct regular audits to verify security compliance and identify potential vulnerabilities or configuration gapsParticipate in design and review meetings to provide technical insights, project goals, and status updates for managementMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 7+ years of relevant Systems Administration experience; or a High School Diploma/GED with 15+ years of relevant experience.Extensive experience with Linux command lineSystems administration and troubleshooting experienceExperience utilizing Ansible or TerraformExperience managing enterprise VMware and orchestrationExperience with Firewall administration and rulesFamiliarity with scripting Clearance Requirements:Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph and be willing and able to obtain another polygraph prior to startPhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the timeNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etcConstantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer
