Responsibilities: POSITION SUMMARY: Our Early Intervention Occupational Therapy Assistants implement occupational therapy programs and provides occupational therapy treatments to parents ages birth to three years old, to facilitate increased independence and functioning, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.  RESPONSIBILITIES: Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences, and other required meetings as a representative of occupational therapy, under the direction of the Occupational Therapist. Establishes treatment schedule and provides frequency of services as determined by the IFSP plan. Communicates and documents changes to the IFSP as needed under the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist. Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient and participates in coordination of care meetings to ensure holistic patient care. Monitors the child’s response to intervention and modifies treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with the IFSP plan.  Acts as an assistant to the Occupational Therapist when the Occupational Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.   Qualifications: SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice. Early Intervention Credential (OTA EI) from the state of Illinois.  JOB SKILLS:Good organizational and time management skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Projects a positive and professional image. Posted Salary Range: USD $40.00 - USD $43.00 /Hr.
