Account Representative

Position:  Account RepresentativeJob Description:The Account Representative is responsible for coordinating and managing daily transportation operations to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments. This role serves as the primary point of contact between drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams, ensuring accurate communication, proactive problem-solving, and high service levels.Core Duties & Responsibilities:Provide customers with accurate transportation quotes from point A to point BSchedule and coordinate pickups and deliveriesMonitor shipment progress and update customers as neededCommunicate shipment details clearly to customer Other duties as assignedRequirements:Self-motivated problem-solver with strong desire to meet customer needsStrong verbal and written communication skillsDesire for a long-term career with an industry leading companyAbility to present and maintain a positive corporate image in a fast paced environmentProactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departmentsMust be proficient with Microsoft Office products including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.Must be willing to work a flexible scheduleSkills:Ideal candidate will possess a “can do" attitude with a “will do" work ethicMust have the ability to work in a fast paced environmentExperience with AS400 operating systems is a plusTransportation industry knowledge and experience is a plusPrior dispatch/load planning experience is a plusForward Air is an Equal Opportunity employer.
