The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline.About the roleWe are seeking a results-driven Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and drive value across assigned categories. In this role, you will execute sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence and supply chain performance. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and delivering measurable business impact.Key accountabilitiesDevelop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories in alignment with enterprise objectives.Manage sourcing events including RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, and award recommendations.Conduct spend analysis, market research, and cost modeling to identify sourcing opportunities.Track and report on savings, supplier KPIs, and performance metrics.Monitor supplier performance, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and manage supplier relationships.Support supplier risk management and alternative sourcing strategies.Lead contract negotiations to achieve favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.Partner with Legal to draft, review, execute and amend supplier agreements.Partner with Development, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance.Mentor and support junior team members, promoting best practices and process adherence.Essential educationBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.Essential experience5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience managing supplier relationships and driving supplier performance improvements.Proficiency with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., Acumatica, SAP, Oracle).Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilitiesEffective communicator and influencerResults-oriented and process-drivenStrong collaboration and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDesirable criteriaExperience managing multi-category sourcing (direct, indirect, services, or capital equipment).Familiarity with reporting or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, DOMO).Experience with supplier scorecards, SRM programs, or operational excellence initiatives.Master’s degree or MBA.Why join us?Delivering a better and more balanced energy system requires many different approaches and solutions.
