Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years. • Travel experience is preferred from any number of months. • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months. • Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months Requirements: • Candidates must have a Mississippi license or compact license (required after submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required for submission. Medical declinations accepted. • No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - University of Mississippi Healthcare. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Additional Details: Required Skills/Experience: Must have solid experience as an RN - at least 1 yr on first job. 1 or more yrs of Level 1 or VERY Large hospital experience required. Experience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes, hem/Onc and chemo experience preferred RNs required to titrate drips?: heparin, could have an order for amio and that can be started and then patient would be transferred to cardiac unit; Common titratable &/or set rate drips: cardiac drips on 3south only. Preferred Skills/Experience: Travel experience with extension is preferred. ONC cert NOT required but would love candidates with experience/ Manager will teach clinician how to administer CHEMO - can be a great learning opportunity. Shift & Scheduling: Open to 48 hours per week. Must work at least 3 of the following 6 dates: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years. Weekend Requirement: every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to meet needs of department. Floating Requirements: Within skillset, all staff float between all MedSurg units. Higher acuity patients would be given to core staff.
