Description  Director of Working Capital & Cash Operations – Frisco, TXWhat You’ll Do: The Director of Working Capital & Cash Operations is responsible for leading all strategic and operational activities that impact company working capital, cash flow, and transactional finance performance. This role oversees cash management, accounts receivable aging and DSO performance, accounts payable optimization, vendor management, indirect procurement controls, and enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives. The Director will lead a team of 8 to 12 employees, fostering development, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement. Beyond offering logistics jobs, we build careers and fuel the future of foodservice distribution.​ In This Role, You’ll:Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, develop, and mentor a team of finance professionals.Establish clear performance expectations, accountability measures, and career development plans.Implement standardized processes and continuous improvement initiatives across all functional areas.Cash Management & Working Capital OptimizationOversee daily cash management, ensuring accurate and timely bank reconciliations.Drive DSO improvement targets through proactive aging reviews, escalation, and cross-functional alignment.Develop and deliver weekly cash forecasts covering receivables, payables, and expected cash flows.Monitor key working capital KPIs and develop action plans to improve cash conversion cycle performance.Accounts Payable ManagementOversee AP operations with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and vendor experience.Negotiate supplier payment terms and discount opportunities to improve overall working capital.Conduct quarterly reviews of supplier aging, reconciliations, and compliance with payment policies.Lead process improvements to reduce AP-related errors and streamline invoice-to-pay workflows.Procure-to-Pay (Indirect Spend) GovernanceImplement and enforce the use of purchase orders for all indirect spend categories.Lead change management efforts with field operations, corporate leaders, and suppliers to ensure adoption.Partner with procurement and operations to improve compliance, visibility, and cost control.Vendor Management & CleanupExecute a comprehensive supplier master data cleanup initiative, consolidating duplicate vendor accounts under a single master record.Implement improved vendor setup, maintenance, and governance processes to prevent future duplication.Operational Productivity & Audit ControlsDrive improvements in DSO, AP cycle times, error reduction, and processing efficiency.Establish and monitor daily audit controls across AR and AP processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.Identify automation and technology opportunities to enhance productivity and financial integrity.Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.What You’ll Bring:Education/Certification:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or professional certification (CPA, CMA, CTP) preferred.Experience:7–10+ years of progressive experience in finance operations, treasury, working capital optimization, or shared services.Demonstrated success in leading teams and driving measurable financial improvementsStrong understanding of cash forecasting, AP/AR processes, vendor management, and financial systemsExperienced in leading change across diverse operational teams and influence at all organizational levelsExcellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skillsSkilled in collaborating effectively across functions and levelsSupported operational excellence and continuous improvement initiativesLead and developed talentUsed data to inform decisions and improve operational outcomesCan act in accordance with GSF’s Values and Creed The Schedule & Setting: Onsite in Frisco, TXPay & Benefits: Weekly pay (every Friday)Health and Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts (FSA), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Voluntary Insurance (Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Legal, Life, and AD&D); Pet Insurance         Retirement Benefits:  401(k)                   Paid Time Off (PTO): Includes vacation, sick leave, and paid company holidays provided in accordance with company policy and applicable state and local laws.      Why Join Us: We’re not just in the business of distribution - we’re in the business of development.
