Assistant Property Manager Compensation: $57,000 – $72,000 annuallyWork Setup: Full-Time | In-OfficeAvenica partners with a growing real estate development and property management company that owns and operates a portfolio of residential and commercial properties throughout the western suburbs of Chicago.This entrepreneurial team is focused on maintaining high-quality properties, building strong tenant relationships, and expanding its portfolio through strategic acquisitions and development.This role sits at the center of property operations and tenant experience, supporting daily property management, leasing coordination, and vendor management.How You’ll Drive ImpactAs an Assistant Property Manager, you will support the daily operations of multiple properties while helping deliver a high-quality experience for tenants and ownership.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day operational needs across the property portfolioServe as the primary contact for tenant requests and questionsShow available units and manage the leasing cycle (applications, screening, lease agreements)Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewalsTrack expenses and enter invoices into QuickBooksMaintain tenant records and prepare reports using Microsoft OfficeCoordinate maintenance requests and vendor servicesMaintain accurate records in property systems (Yardi Breeze preferred)Qualifications2+ years of experience in property management, leasing, or a related fieldExperience with residential or mixed-use propertiesStrong customer service and tenant relationship skillsExperience managing leases and tenant communicationsFamiliarity with property management software (Yardi Breeze preferred)Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting toolsProficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and WordStrong organization and attention to detailPreferred:Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, finance, or a related field.Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $57,000 – $72,00015 days PTOEmployer covers up to 80% of health insurance premiumsDental insurancePotential onsite housing discount for qualified employees Why Join This TeamTight-knit entrepreneurial environmentGrowing property portfolio with career growth opportunitiesAbility to help shape systems and operationsHigh-quality properties and strong tenant communityAccess to on-site amenities including gym and lounge spacesWork Authorization & Location RequirementCandidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
