Fitness Instructor - Tai Chi Instructor

Overview: RiverWoods Manchester is currently hiring for a contract Tai Chi Instructor to join our Fitness team to lead Saturday morning classes! Responsibilities: As a Tai Chi Instructor, you’ll help RiverWoods residents reach their goals in a supportive and energizing environment. You will:Lead group classes focused on proper form, movement, breathing, and flow while working with residents in Independent Living [IL] and Assisted Living [AL]Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for participants of all fitness levelsOffer modifications and guidance based on individual needsDemonstrate techniques with clarity and enthusiasmEncourage consistent attendance and foster a sense of community in your classesWork in state-of-the-art facilities with high-quality equipment and spacious studiosTrack attendance and complete documentation as required  Qualifications: Required:Certification in Tai ChiExperience teaching group fitness or wellness classes, ideally including Tai Chi or similar modalitiesPrevious experience working with the senior populationStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPassion for inspiring others and helping people improve their physical and mental wellnessKnowledge of fitness principles, body movement, and safe exercise practicesAbility to engage with and motivate a diverse group of participantsA background in exercise science, health & wellness, or fitness training is a plusPreferred:Previous experience working in an Independent Living and Assisted Living environment preferred.First Aid and CPR certification preferred. RiverWoods is committed to providing the highest level of service and care to our residents and team members.  RiverWoods Group: Northern New England’s Largest Family of CCRCs Three Communities, One Philosophy: Providing Community and Peace of MindSince 1994, every day we honor our founding premise: we are here to make things better.
