Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover in BETHESDA, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do: Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and the perimeter; document observations and report maintenance concerns and/or suspicious activity. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; de-escalate conflicts when possible and request law enforcement and/or medical assistance as needed. Control access by monitoring doors, gates, and loading areas; verify credentials and/or visitor information per site policy and help to deter unauthorized entry. Complete timely reports such as daily activity logs and incident reports; communicate updates to site leadership and/or property management and assist with alarm and access control monitoring as assigned.Minimum Requirements: Have at least 6 months of security experience. Have at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Have customer service experience, preferred. Have CPR and/or First Aid, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
