Job Description

Essential Duties and Tasks: Analyze machine error messages, test results, and operator observations to diagnose equipment problems. Interpret technical documentation such as wiring diagrams, elementary schematics, ladder diagrams and logic diagrams. Coordinate projects and responsibilities with skilled trades (mechanics, Technicians, Operators, etc.) to minimize downtime of equipment. Perform predictive and preventive equipment maintenance. Work within the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS):  Troubleshoot on designated industrial equipment, PLC, Drive, control systems and department machine centers   Use the CMMS system for managing work worders and backlog/documentation, ensure compliance to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements  Maintain necessary record keeping for equipment maintenance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment suitable for the food packaging industry. Suggest ideas to support continuous improvement in all areas of the Company. Skills and Abilities: Possession of an electrical license issued by the State of Michigan or Township. Knowledge of current National Electrical Code and industrial electrical equipment & methods. Understanding of PLC Operation and Wiring. Advanced knowledge of solid-state components, their uses and theory. Documented experience with electronic board trouble-shooting and repair, AC/DC drive troubleshooting and repair and preventative maintenance of industrial electrical/electronic equipment. Control wiring Troubleshooting Skills. Ability to use testing equipment related to industrial electronics. Ability to work with Oscilloscope and navigate Panel Views. Frequency Drive Knowledge. Experience 2 to 4 years in a manufacturing environment with the same or similar equipment, components Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
