The client, a nonprofit organization, is seeking an Executive Director to guide its strategic direction and enhance its national presence. This organization offers debate programs in underserved schools to boost students public speaking, communication, and critical thinking skills, aiming to empower them and enhance their futures. With a network servicing over 12,000 students from under-resourced communities, the client operates debate leagues across major metropolitan areas in the U.S. The debate programs are not just extracurricular activities but crucial interventions that encourage students' academic growth, civic engagement, and leadership. The Executive Director will be at the forefront of this mission, enhancing fundraising efforts and fostering relationships with donors, corporate entities, and educational leaders. An ideal candidate should possess strong fundraising capabilities and a passion for educational equity, with the ability to communicate the transformative impact of debate programs effectively. They will also be responsible for expanding the clients reach, promoting it as a leading advocate for student voice and educational equity through debate. Key responsibilities include serving as the clients chief spokesperson, engaging with national and media audiences, and making debate education accessible to more students. The Executive Director will also forge partnerships with educational and advocacy groups to strengthen the clients impact.
