We pride ourselves on being a different kind of company — one built on trust, empowerment, and a culture where employees can truly grow.If you’re a Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Technician who values safety, teamwork, and making a difference in your community, this is the place for you.What You’ll Do as a 2nd Shift Diesel MechanicIn this role, you’ll perform essential fleet maintenance and diesel truck repair to keep our drivers safe and our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include:Performing inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel vehiclesTroubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systemsUsing onboard vehicle diagnostic systems to interpret failure codes and adjust engine/vehicle control modulesResponding to road calls and conducting emergency repairsReviewing and completing repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)Documenting work using fleet maintenance softwareTest-driving vehicles after repairsSupporting teammates with complex repairsInteracting professionally with driversMaintaining a clean and safe shop environment compliant with OSHA standardsPerforming additional maintenance duties as neededWhat We’re Looking ForTo excel in this 2nd shift diesel mechanic role, you should bring:Hands-on experience with diesel truck diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairsHydraulic system experience (preferred but not required)Ability to work in all weather conditions.Ability to lift at least 50lbs repeatedly.What You’ll Get From UsWe offer a competitive compensation package plus benefits that help you grow your career and support your life outside of work:Competitive Pay: $30–$35/hr DOE401(k) with company matchMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceLife Insurance + Short- and Long-Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance Program (mental health support)Emergency Travel AssistancePrepaid Legal PlanEmployee Stock Purchase PlanEmployee Relief FundScholarship opportunities for your childrenWaste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
