Our five core values drive everything we do: Integrity • Intensity • Innovation • Involvement • Impact We are looking for a full-time proactive, people-centered HR Manager to lead Human Resources operations at our Brooklyn manufacturing site. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in an operational environment, enjoys partnering closely with plant leadership, and excels at balancing employee advocacy with business needs.The HR Manager will oversee the full employee lifecycle, ensure regulatory and policy compliance, manage HR processes and systems, and help shape an engaging and high‑performance culture. Compensation ranges from $120k - $140k depending on experience. What You’ll Do: Core HR Operations Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, attendance, timekeeping, job changes, and promotions. Administer disciplinary actions and support supervisors with consistent application of policies. Maintain accurate HRIS and payroll inputs; ensure data quality and documentation standards are met. Partner with hiring managers to coordinate recruiting activities: screening, interviewing, selection, and offer processes. Lead site-level performance evaluation process and support development planning. Employee Engagement & Labor Relations Serve as a trusted resource for employees and supervisors, responding to day-to-day questions and concerns. Coordinate investigation logistics with HR Business Partners. Facilitate engagement activities, support survey logistics, and assist in action planning. Maintain positive relationships with union representatives and support labor management activities. Provide guidance to leadership on consistent contract interpretation and disciplinary processes. Leave Management & Benefits Support Administer FMLA, STD, and other leave programs; coordinate return to work processes. Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions, escalating complex matters to Centers of Excellence. Compliance, Safety & Policy Ensure compliance with labor regulations, company policies, and audit requirements. Support site Health & Safety programs and maintain a strong presence on the production floor. Assist with grievance handling, arbitration processes, and labor relations documentation. What You Bring: Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 5+ years of HR generalist experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or similar operational environment. Experience supporting unionized workforces and labor relations activities. SHRM CP or PHR certification is an asset. Technical Skills Working knowledge of employment and labor laws. Experience with HRIS systems and payroll input processes. Knowledge of leave management, compliance, and site-level policy implementation. Familiarity with workplace safety requirements. Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written). Soft Skills Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with both hourly and salaried employees with professionalism and discretion. Highly organized, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
