Senior Mechanical Product Engineer (onsite)

What you will doJohnson Controls is seeking an expert level Senior Mechanical Product Engineer that will be responsible for contributing to and leading the product team through product design, testing, data analysis, and project management. You will also support the manufacturing of the product representing the design team through initiating and executing design changes. This role also requires strong cross-collaboration with engineering teammates, engineering managers, product/project management, designers, and factories. In this position, you will be expected to be onsite in our New Freedom, PA, office. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility, or open to relocation.How you will do itMaintain understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles, and processes related to fluid, thermal, and other mechanical aspects of air-cooled chillers or centrifugal compressorContribute to the on-time completion of programs and regular reports on the status of projectsExpert in mechanical design and able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product release and technology investigationApply mechanical codes such as UL, CE, PED, GB and ASMEWork closely with the design and manufacturing teams in generating layout concepts and system configurations that consider the best balance of cost, performance, and reliability.Execute test programs to validate performance and reliability of mechanical systems and componentsAnalyze, design, modify and/or troubleshoot mechanical sub-components and sub-systems based on prototype testing and test dataGenerate and review technical documentation for use within the product teamOccasional domestic and international travel (less than 10%)What we look forRequired BS in Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering2+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering roleProficient with organizing and processing massive data analysisAbility to quickly develop cross-functional relationships to achieve business objectivesPassion with new learnings and growthPreferredCommercial HVAC industry experienceData center cooling product experienceHIRING SALARY RANGE: $1085,000 - $100,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
