We pride ourselves on innovation, quality, and delivering tailored solutions to meet our clients' unique needs.Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in data center liquid cooling to join our Mechanical Engineering team. As part of the Mechanical Engineering team, your role will be to lead the mechanical systems design as well coordinate across engineering disciplines as the technical project manager.This position is responsible for directing technical client conversations, overseeing pricing efforts, design development, code reviews, specification compliance, equipment certification, equipment testing, guidance for development of construction documents, support during manufacturing, commissioning, and warranty.The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to review performance components, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and implement innovative design solutions.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of design professionals, fostering collaboration and supporting career growth. Promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.Technical Design: Provide technical design support with a focus on mechanical design engineering. Design custom air handling equipment and computer room air handling units to client specifications. Develop and test AHU and MDC products.Design liquid cooling systems for data centers including cooling distribution units (CDUs) to client specification. Design of single-phase and two-phase systems. Perform strategic assessment of emerging market demands for diverse liquid cooling solutions, perform code study, develop and test new products.Project Execution: Take a leading role in project execution, including support for estimating, business development, sales, production improvements, and marketing. Lead project teams and mentor Engineers in Training.Product Optimization: Lead testing activities to evaluate and validate design solutions for HVAC units. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying best practices and implementing innovative design solutions.Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design submittals, reports, drawings, and Engineering Change Requests. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for design processes and VAVE initiatives.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain to identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance enhancement. Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc. Eng., B.Eng.)Professional Engineering (PE / P.Eng.) designationMinimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical engineeringMinimum 4 years of HVAC and refrigeration experience within the data center industry. Experience with both single-phase and two-phase cooling.Experience leading multidisciplinary team membersPractical experience with risk management, product design and testing, estimating, and project managementAbility to integrate new technologies into machines and converse with multiple departments spanning multiple disciplinesStrong work ethic and positive team attitudePreferred Qualifications:Understanding of Electrical, Structural, and Controls engineeringProficiency with AutoCAD, Creo, Revit, and ANSYSMinimum 5 years project management or coordinationKnowledge of manufacturing processes and materialsFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations related to data center equipment
