** Local Colorado candidates only!  Interviews are in-person!  ** No 3rd parties or corp-to-corp candidates for this role.  Our client, a leader in telecommunications and network infrastructure, is seeking a Wireless Engineer III to join their team. As a Wireless Engineer III, you will be part of the Network Engineering Department supporting the WiFi network operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, proactive problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Wireless Engineer III Location: South Denver, Colorado (onsite 3-4 days/week) Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour, based on experience What's the Job? Review, access, and optimize the intake process for new hardware and software/firmware releases into the  WiFi network systems architecture. Evaluate network architecture change implementation plans, review or develop Method of Procedures (MOPs), and enhance processes for compatibility and alignment within the WiFi network. Track progress of WiFi network releases, report on progress, and identify opportunities for process improvements. Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to improve handover and implementation procedures. Define intake requirements and templates for various departmental submissions to Release Management, ensuring clarity and efficiency. What's Needed? Proficient knowledge of wireless networking concepts, including OSI Model, TCP/IP, and related standards. Hands-on experience with modern WiFi network elements such as Wireless Access Gateway (WAG), AAA functions, WiFi controllers, firewalls, switches, routers, and access points. Strong understanding of WiFi network architecture, protocols, and topology, along with data center and cloud-based architectures. Experience working with carrier-grade WiFi equipment from vendors like Nokia, Cisco, Ericsson, or Ruckus. Educational background with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience with 5+ years in wireless network support.
