Our client, a leading organization in facility management and operations, is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Operating Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance and engineering department supporting the operational excellence of the facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, proactive problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Operating Engineer 2 Location: Carson, CA What's the Job? Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across various systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, and control systems. Support preventative maintenance activities and monitor repairs to ensure optimal performance of building systems. Manage reactive work orders, coordinate with contracted vendors, and handle emergency repairs as needed. Maintain detailed records of work performed using electronic work order systems such as Building Engines. Assist in safety compliance, inventory control, and vendor evaluations to ensure high standards of facility operation. What's Needed? High school diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years of commercial facility maintenance experience. Valid CFC Universal Certification (EPA Section 608). Trade school technical training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields.
