Our client, a leading provider in the power distribution industry, is seeking a Gas-Insulated Support Specialist to join their team. As a Gas-Insulated Support Specialist, you will be part of the Engineering Service & Systems (EESS) division supporting field-based personnel across North America. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for mentoring others, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Gas-Insulated Support Specialist Location: Remote (75% travel to training facilities and job sites across North America; primary training centers in Warrendale, PA and Chicago, IL) Pay Range: $75-80/hr Competitive, based on experience What’s the Job? Provide technical input and hands-on training to employees and leaders regarding gas-insulated electrical equipment (GIE). Conduct training both onsite at customer locations and in classroom environments. Support field personnel with installation, maintenance, and commissioning of gas-insulated electrical equipment. Collaborate with utilities and industrial clients to ensure proper procedures and industry standards are followed. Develop training materials, safety checklists, and LOTO procedures for complex electrical work. What’s Needed? Minimum 10 years of experience with gas-insulated electrical equipment and field service work. Associates degree and/or military experience is required. Practical experience with low and high voltage systems including installation, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of Hazard Energy Control (HEC) / Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) practices and safety compliance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with mentoring and teaching experience. Disqualifiers: No gas-insulated electrical equipment experience No associates degree or military experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Electrical Contractor or General Contractor license Professional Engineering license Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office applications What’s in it for me?
