Join our team in Phoenix, AZ as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist at a hospital. You will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting physicians and perioperative staff in the operating room during cardiovascular procedures. You will prepare the OR, manage instruments and supplies, support cardiopulmonary bypass and cardiac assist devices, and help maintain aseptic technique and OR turnover. Minimum Requirements: Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program or equivalent credential required.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.One to two years of experience as a surgical technologist, or three to four years of experience as a surgical technologist where applicable; experience in a cardiovascular operating room preferred.Proficiency scrubbing in a minimum of two surgical specialties; CVOR proficiency required.Demonstrated ability to assist with cardiopulmonary bypass, cardiac assist devices, and vascular access/interventions preferred.Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and respond to emergent situations.Manual dexterity, adequate visual and auditory acuity, and ability to lift and handle surgical equipment and supplies as required.Where applicable, registration with State Regulatory Agency required.Ability to participate in emergency call rotation and flexible scheduling, including potential 24/7 weekend, holiday, and on-call availability as department needs dictate.
