As a Senior Epic Technical Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting this mission by leading critical projects that enhance our healthcare systems and services.PurposeThe Senior Epic Technical Project Manager leads complex, cross-functional technology projects that support clinical, operational, and administrative initiatives across the healthcare system. Reporting to the Director of the IT PMO or a department leader, this role collaborates closely with IT architects, clinical informatics, application analysts, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery.This position manages the full project lifecycle—from initiation through implementation and operational readiness—while aligning with enterprise goals, regulatory requirements, and patient care priorities.ResponsibilitiesLeads Full Technical Project Lifecycle ManagementDefines project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metricsDevelops detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocationsManages technical project execution, ensuring milestones are metTracks and reports on project progress, risks, and issuesFacilitates project close-out and post-implementation reviewsStakeholder Engagement and CommunicationWorks closely with clinical, operational, and IT leaders to gather requirementsFacilitates QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience managing EHR technical projects in a healthcare or enterprise IT environmentExperience with EHR systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications in an academic medical center settingRelevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Health Informatics, Project Management, or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in healthcare IT project managementExperience with Epic, Cerner, or other major EHR platformsExperience as an Epic-certified application analystExperience with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid project methodologiesLicenses, Registrations, or CertificationsRequired:Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMIPreferred:Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or SAFe AgilistITIL Foundation CertificationLean Six Sigma Green Belt or
