You will regularly work with Advanced 3D Imaging and utilize robust Advanced Anesthesia Support protocols tailored for complex oral surgery cases. While our specialization is dentistry, we are also equipped to handle Pet Wellness, general Surgery, and Emergency Care, providing a well-rounded medical perspective. We operate specifically from our Hillsborough Road location, integrating you into a supportive and well-established local environment where specialized medicine is valued.Your Impact as a Registered Veterinary TechnicianNote: The Registered Veterinary Technician title is used in various states based on state-specific licensing and credentialing requirements. Responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital and/or state and will be outlined by the state’s Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian, where applicable.Utilize Your Full Skillset: You'll be a vital part of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.Be a Leader and Mentor: You’ll guide and support the medical team, ensuring an efficient workflow while mentoring others to help them grow their skills and careers.Partner with Clients: You'll be a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and confidently answering their questions.Contribute to a Positive Culture: You'll play an active role in training, providing feedback, and maintaining the high standards of our hospital environment.What You'll Bring to the Team● Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms● Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry● Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members● Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring● Proficient in dental prophylaxis● Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.● Associates degree in Veterinary Technology How You're SupportedAs part of the Mission Pet Health family, you get the stability of a local practice backed by the comprehensive benefits and resources of a larger network.
