Building Maintenance Worker (Days)

Req ID: 249245  Job Location: 4800 Abilene, TX (Warehouse)Work days/Shift Hours – if applicable: Mon - Fri (Some Weekends) / 8AM - 4:30PM Compensation:  Starting pay ranges from $17.30 to $23.56  per hour, based on experience.  Additional earning opportunities may include performance-based incentives, quarterly bonuses, referral bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.  Preferred Requirements  – Mechanical and Electrical, Plumbing, Lighting, Drywall, and Facility Repairs Hydraulics, pneumatics and lubrication (balers / PH waste water system) Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems (docks, roll up doors, balers, etc.) Preventative maintenance (inspecting equipment before it breaks) Ability to lift 50 plus pounds in industrial environment Comfortable with heights, noise and temperature changes Must follow strict safety and food production rules at all times Strong troubleshooting/problem solving ability Extra experience that is a plus, HVAC, Welding, previous experience   General Purpose Responsible for maintaining the operational and cleanliness of the facility.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the fundamental functions and responsibilities of the job.  Duties and Responsibilities Ensure the facility is functional.  Facility upkeep which includes; small plumbing, replace light bulbs, small concrete repairs, small installs, hang signs and banners.  Empty and clean outside the facility and empty all trash barrels throughout the facility.  Mop areas that cannot be reached with the scrubber equipment.  Paint and plaster the walls.  Point of contact for contractors.   Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent preferred.    Forklift scrubber certification preferred.  To apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concreate variables in standardized situations.  Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to lift 50lbs.  Ability to work in variable temperature/weather conditions.  Ability to efficiently operate forklift and scrubber equipment.  Frequent bending and twisting in performance of job functions.  Applicants with disabilities may be entitled to reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act and certain Texas or local laws.
