Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.Active California Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.Outpatient experience required. Must have experience evaluating and treating orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions in an outpatient setting.Must be able to complete timely, accurate documentation, including goal writing, functional quality indicators, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry per clinic policy and payer requirements.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and progress patients toward discharge goals.Experience supervising or delegating to therapy assistants or aides preferred.No new grads. Minimum of one year of clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred. Assignment Details Facility type: Outpatient clinic.Shift pattern: 5x8, Monday–Friday schedule.Full-time, 40 hours per week.Duration: 13-week assignment. The area includes family-friendly neighborhoods and a growing entertainment district at Bayfront Park, with multiple parks, marinas, and walking trails that suit an active, suburban coastal lifestyle. Job Summary Performs comprehensive evaluations and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction. Provides discipline-specific therapy services, delegates to support staff as appropriate, and ensures functional treatment programs that support community return. Educates patients, families, students, and coworkers. Completes documentation in compliance with state, federal, and clinic requirements. Participates in performance improvement activities and maintains professional licensure and competency requirements. Adheres to organizational policies on safety, appearance, attendance, and professionalism. Additional Information Position requires adherence to safety protocols including safe patient handling and infection control. Candidate will participate in student education as assigned. Professional development planning and participation in continuing education are expected. This assignment does not accept new graduates.
