Position: Warehouse LeadAvailable Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1:50 PM - 10:30 PMCompensation: $22.00 per hourCore Responsibilities & Duties:Job Duties (not limited to the list below)Each employee is expected to communicate with their team in a respectful and professional manner; exhibit mature behavior in dealing with challenging situations.Support and implement the company’s initiatives to promote positive employee morale and team building.Responsible for enforcing warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of Cal OSHA and state regulations.Provide direction and motivation to the floor team in order to promote efficiency, quality and accuracy.Uphold employee handbook policies.Helps monitor warehouse overtime.Helps ensure the team has proper tools to execute their job duties.Understand and help drive departmental key performance indicators (KPI).Helps convey maintenance of warehouse equipment/tools and all necessary repairs to the maintenance department.Assist Supervisor/Manager in distributing work to associates as required & needed to support workflow to meet daily production goals.Responsible for assisting proper training to new hires and re-training on an as-needed basis in coordination with the company's SOP.Highlight top & bottom performers to supervisors to provide recognition & training as neededFully understand the workflow, daily production goals, and number of associates present each day. Lead the team by example through work performance, can-do attitude & collaboration with teammatesProvide procedural feedback to Supervisor/Manager to improve our current Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Identify and communicate safety hazards or incidents to Supervisor/ManagementEnthusiastically participate in safety initiatives & encourage the team to do the same Requirements, Skills & Abilities include but not limited to: Follows work-safe practicesOperates various pieces of equipment (manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, hand held scanner, box cutter, picking cart, desktop computer, scale, shrink wrap and baler). Contribute to a safe work environment through continuous focus on housekeeping and safety.Demonstrate a commitment to our company's core values.Interact with supervisors, leads, and/or work groups with information exchanges related to immediate tasks.Work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment.Attention to detailBasic ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing,Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication)Basic computer skills (accessing and navigating the internet; familiar with the keyboard; opening, closing, and saving documents)Ability to push, pull, grasp, and fine manipulation of equipment using hands is ongoing throughout the work hoursMust be able to bend and lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet for the entire shift.Must be able and willing to frequently bend, squat, twist, push/pull to retrieve inventory and packing items throughout the shiftMust be able to work on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours a day with extensive lifting and pushing of heavy productExhibited good job performance and behavior as measured through indicators such as teamwork, attendance, quality and productivity, etc.Must be flexible with scheduling; work overtime as business dictates.
