About this Job: General Summary of Position MedStar Health is looking for a Pain Psych Post Doctorate Fellow to join our team at MedStar National Rehab Hospital! As a Pain Psych Post Doc Fellow, you will be responsible for assessment, intervention/psychotherapy, and consultation. The ideal candidate will have specialty pain management training and broad experience in psychotherapy with medical and rehabilitation populations.  Join one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro region, also recognized as one of the "Healthiest Maryland Businesses". Apply today and learn how MedStar Health can be your next great career move!  Primary Duties: Psychologists and fellows serve as an integral part of multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams, working closely with physicians, case managers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nurses to assess patient needs, develop treatment goals and recommendations, and provide guidance to patients and their families.  Gain experience in providing immediate consultation, warm hand-offs. and evidence-based short-term interventions to address the full range of behavioral and mental health concerns, lifespan development concerns, and preventive/ healthy behavior change; Be supervised by at least one senior scholar who actively promotes the postdoc's professional development.  Establish an individual development plan (IDP) that incorporates equally the postdoc's career and training goals and the mentor's research goals.  Focus on assessment, consultation, and treatment of adult patients with a range of neurological and medical conditions.  Clinical activities include interdisciplinary intake evaluations, outpatient therapy with a primary focus on cognitive behavioral and family systems approaches  Qualifications: Doctoral degree in psychology, APA or CPA accredited from a regionally accredited university. Licensed Psychologist or eligibility for licensure in the District of Columbia or Maryland depending on the position's location. Post doctoral specialty training in pain management preferred. APA approved internship and clinical experience in psychology preferred.  This position has a hiring range of : USD $20.00 - USD $20.00 /Yr.
