We’re looking forward to getting to know you!For more information, visit .Role Description:A Behavioral Health Specialist Lead (BHS, Lead) provides clinical and didactic training to Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) as well as follow-up consultation. The BHS Lead also serves as a consultative resource for other BHSs. The BHS Lead will help BHSs maintain consistency with the Oak Street Health (OSH) service philosophy and work within the scope of practice for the primary care setting. Within these parameters, the BHS Lead will also encourage creativity within the BHS’s local practice while maintaining consistency with the BHS service model, role expectation and performance. Core Responsibilities:Training for BHSs - BHS Leads maintain a plan for training behavioral health providers in the skills and competencies necessary to perform as a BHS. Training will be accomplished through directed reading of the practice manual, didactic instruction, demonstration by the BHS Lead, and direct observation and feedback of the BHS trainee by the BHS Lead.Feedback for BHS trainees - BHS Leads will evaluate BHS candidates. The core competencies will be used as criteria to provide performance-based feedback.Clinical Supervision - the Lead BHS will provide clinical supervision to those BHS’s in their division who are seeking hours towards obtaining their licensure.Peer consultation to experienced BHSs - BHS Leads will be available to provide consultation to BHSs, as needed.
