About the Role We re looking for a full-time Orthopedic Veterinary Assistant / Animal Aide who is eager to learn, team-oriented, and passionate about patient care. This role is ideal for someone interested in surgical support and hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospital environment. You ll work closely with doctors and technicians to support orthopedic procedures, patient care, and daily hospital operations. What You ll Do Surgical and Clinical Support Assist with surgical preparation of patients and surgery suites Support doctors and technicians during procedures Maintain strict cleanliness and organization of treatment and surgery areas Assist with radiographs, ultrasound, and basic lab tasks Handle and prepare surgical instruments, including cleaning and autoclaving Help with patient restraint and positioning during exams and procedures Patient Care Provide compassionate care to all patients Monitor hospitalized patients and report any changes Assist with feeding, walking, and general patient comfort Clean cages and maintain patient areas Support patient recovery and discharge processes Bathe and groom patients as needed Hospital Operations Maintain and stock treatment and surgical areas Accurately enter services and notes into medical records Assist with client interactions and patient flow Support team members across departments as needed What We re Looking For Previous veterinary or animal care experience preferred, but not required Interest in surgery and orthopedic care Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment Schedule Full-time position 8 or 10-hour shifts Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of rotation Compensation and Benefits Starting pay from $18/hour Shift differential opportunities available Health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) options Paid time off and holiday pay Uniform allowance Employee pet care discounts What Makes You Successful Here You show up ready to support your team You care about patient comfort and outcomes You are eager to learn and grow your skills You stay positive and adaptable in a busy environment If you re looking to grow your career in veterinary medicine and gain hands-on experience in orthopedic care, we d love to connect. #ACP2
