STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN Location: Naples, FloridaSchedule: Full-Time | Day and Night Shifts Available MUST HAVE CSPDT OR CRCST Keep surgeries running smoothly by joining a team where precision and organization matter. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you’ll manage, clean, and assemble surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for patient care. QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or GED required Completion of a Surgical Tech or Sterile Processing Tech program CSPDT/CRCST certification REQUIRED Have 1 to 2 years of experience in a surgical environment Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows) Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills Commitment to following safety protocols and departmental procedures BENEFITS Pay: $28.00 per hour Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Accident, critical illness, and wellness perks 401(k) with retirement planning support Life insurance, AD&D, and disability coverage Flexible spending accounts and preferred legal services Employee assistance programs Tuition reimbursement for continued education Paid time off to recharge and maintain work-life balance Optional supplemental benefits to fit your lifestyle JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Manage, receive, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment Assemble case carts accurately based on doctor’s preference cards Operate washer/decontaminator, sonic cleaner, compressed air, and dryer units properly Disassemble, mechanically clean, and hand-wash instruments, including heat/fluid sensitive items Sort instruments into specialty trays and verify counts using count sheets Prepare utensils and package instruments safely, ensuring sterility Understand and monitor sterilizers (Steam, Sterrad, Steris System 1) and validate sterilization parameters Use biological indicators correctly and document quality control results Maintain knowledge of physician preferences, supply locations, and surgical terminology Support staff as preceptor, assist others, prepare end-of-shift reports, and identify ways to reduce waste Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and safety protocols Perform other duties as assigned Background Screening Requirement (Florida):This position requires background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida law (Section 435.12).
