Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: • 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. • 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience. • Travel experience is required. • Experience with Epic is required. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Additional Details: Required Skills/Experience: - IV start - Telemetry - Teaching Hospital Experience - Ventilator management experience - Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Respiratory/Thoracic, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management, Work Settings, Medical Intensive Care Unit, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Genitourinary/Renal, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Medications, Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Cardiovascular, Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Neurological, CVA/Acute Stroke management, Gastrointestinal, GI surgery, Professional Topics and Skills, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Phlebotomy, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Endocrine/Metabolic, IV insulin protocols Required Credentials: - Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend nights F/S and + day - Minimum of every other weekend Floating Requirements: - Float to Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and SICU / MICU / NCCU based on staffing and patient acuity. - Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. - Will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed. - Flexible with floating to all units. Special Requests: - References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. - You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. - Cannot apply to any Ohio State University facilities if you have an active application to any of the James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities. - RTO required with submission, must be built into contract Preferred Skills/Experience: - Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Sheath Removal, External ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, Lumbar drains 14 days maximum time off.
