What You'll Do As a Dietary Coordinator, you are a key leader responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring quality food service in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as Hope Network policies and procedures. You are delegated the authority, accountability, and responsibility necessary to successfully carry out assigned duties. Core Responsibilities: Order, plan, and prepare meals in accordance with approved menus, therapeutic diet plans, and standardized recipes Ensure food preparation, storage, and service meet all sanitation, infection control, and regulatory standards Supervise and coordinate special events (holiday meals, family functions, staff events, etc.) Maintain kitchen, dining, and storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and inventory schedules Participate in inspections conducted by regulatory agencies Attend required meetings, trainings, and workshops (food handling, sanitation, etc.) Maintain confidentiality of all resident and participant information Develop positive working relationships across departments to ensure high-quality food service delivery Maintain accurate documentation, including menu substitutions, temperature logs, attendance records, and required reports Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Safe Serve Certification (required for Senior Meals program) Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities Ability to taste and smell food to assess quality and palatability Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Demonstrated leadership skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with flexibility and self-direction Ability to manage resources, make sound decisions, and exercise good judgment Ability to work a flexible schedule between 7:00am – 8:00pm, including weekends and holidays as needed Experience Preferred 1–2 years of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or similar setting Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred Experience managing inventory and administrative documentation Our Commitment to Inclusion Our strength lies in our diversity—empowering us to meet the unique needs of over 34,000 individuals we serve each year.
