Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for Senior Application Developer/Tester with an active Secret clearance to conduct comprehensive manual and automated testing across applications, APIs, and databases while ensuring security, compliance, and documentation standards are met to support Agile development and federal ATO requirements. This position will be located in Merrifield, VA and will be a hybrid position. Responsibilities: ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute manual and automated test cases for Java/Spring Boot, HTMX, SQL, and Oracle-based systems.Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing across Windows and Linux environments.Validate API behavior, UI workflows, backend logic, and database interactions.Document defects and test evidence in Azure DevOps and maintain accurate, repeatable test artifacts.Create detailed and concise testing documentation to ensure accurate testing procedures are followed and understood.Support testing in classified and unclassified environments, following all federal security procedures.Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, planning, refinement, retrospectives) as part of the software development team.Integrate testing activities into Azure DevOps and collaborate to improve automation coverage.Provide testing deliverables that support ATO activities, including control validation and security assessment evidence.Validate STIG compliance and configuration baselines as part of system security testing.Communicate clearly and effectively with government product owners and stakeholders regarding test status, risks, and issues.Work closely with developers, engineers, and other individuals within and across other teams as part of software development testing. Qualifications: RequirementsHigh School with 10+ years of experience working in a testing role as part of a software development team.Experience testing software in both classified and unclassified federal environments.Hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot, HTMX, SQL, and Oracle from a testing perspective.Proficiency using Azure DevOps for test management, work items, and CI/CD pipelines.Experience testing in Windows and Linux environments.Working knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), including security control testing and ATO-related documentation.Familiarity with STIGs and federal cybersecurity best practices.Experience working on Agile Scrum teams.Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with government product owners and mission stakeholders.Ability to produce clear, concise testing documentation suitable for audits, compliance, and accreditation.Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability. Posted Salary Range: USD $135,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.
