This role is responsible for overseeing MES architecture, system integrations with Oracle ERP systems, plant-floor SCADA interfaces, and the data pipelines that support critical production and quality processes. The Manufacturing Systems Manager will partner closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations leadership to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure manufacturing systems. Key Responsibilities: Own the architecture, development roadmap, and operational reliability of Poly6’s in-house MES platform. Lead integration strategy and execution between the MES and Oracle ERP systems (EBS or Fusion). Oversee SCADA connectivity to manufacturing equipment and process control systems. Collaborate with automation integrators on PLC/HMI/SCADA implementations, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Manage SQL Server databases supporting MES and plant systems. Define and enforce system standards, cybersecurity practices, and documentation protocols. Mentor internal teams on systems capabilities and issue resolution. Lead root-cause analysis for system issues or downtime events. Coordinate vendor relationships and project timelines. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation. Qualifications & Requirements: Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience supporting MES, SCADA, automation, or manufacturing IT systems. Experience leading cross-functional technology projects. Technical Skills Hands-on experience interfacing with multiple brands of PLCs, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens. Proficiency with Ignition SCADA. Strong SQL Server experience. Experience integrating systems with ERP platforms (Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion a plus). Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus/TCP and OPC UA. Understanding of MES principles, traceability, and data systems. High integrity and strong commitment to system reliability. Work Environment On-site, with multi-site responsibility across company locations. Occasional travel ( Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for production needs or customer meetings. Work Style: This role requires regular, hands-on presence in production, laboratory, and facility areas to support day-to-day operations, observe work practices, and ensure effective implementation of manufacturing systems.
