Security Classification Guide Specialist

MANTECH seeks a motivated and detail-oriented SECURITY CLASSIFICATION GUIDE SPECIALIST to join our team in STAFFORD, VA.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Support the development, update, and maintenance of Security Classification Guides (SCGs)Assist in ensuring SCGs align with applicable national security policies (EO 13526, 32 CFR 2001/2003) under senior guidanceConduct initial reviews of classified materials for proper markings and handling complianceAssist in identifying and correcting classification discrepanciesSupport investigations of classification-related security incidentsCoordinate with Program Security, FSO staff, and government stakeholders to implement classification guidanceContribute to improving security procedures related to classification and handling of sensitive informationMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience5+ years of DoD/IC security experience (industrial security, personnel security, COMSEC, or related)Experience with DCSA/NISPOM compliancePreferred Qualifications:Formal training in Derivative ClassificationFormal training in Derivative ClassificationFamiliarity with security systems (DISS, NISS, SIMS, DIAS, etc.Clearance Requirements:Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance.Physical Requirements:Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
