Description The MidAtlantic Depot, Homeland – Air Traffic Group of Leidos currently has an opening for a Logistics Program Support Manager supporting multiple FAA Programs. This role is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and coordination of the movement, storage, and distribution of goods. The Logistics Manager supervises a mid-sized team of experienced professionals, providing direction, oversight, and performance review while enabling team members to operate with a high degree of independence. The position ensures efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include resolving warehouse operational issues, optimizing logistics processes, and ensuring the seamless flow of goods, services, and information from origin to final delivery in alignment with customer requirements.This role also emphasizes cross-functional training to build team versatility and maintain continuity during staff absences. The manager oversees assigned projects and processes within established budgets and drives continuous improvement of standard logistics practices.Additionally, the Logistics Program Support Manager collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to influence policies, procedures, and best practices beyond their immediate area of responsibility.Primary Responsibilities. Inventory Management: Planning, controlling, and optimizing stock of goods to meet customer demand, minimize carrying costs, and maximize operational efficiency.Logistics Management: Coordinating the planning, implementation, and control of the flow of goods, services, and information to meet operational requirements and customer needs.Logistics Planning: Strategizing and coordinating the movement of goods and resources to meet customer demands and minimize costs.Logistics Systems: Implementing and managing systems to optimize the flow of goods, information, and resources throughout the supply chain.Materials Management: Controlling the acquisition, storage, and distribution of materials to support production and operations.Order Fulfillment: Executing the process of receiving, processing, and delivering customer orders efficiently and accurately.Order Processing: Receiving and addressing orders promptly and accurately to fulfill customer requests and maintain order accuracy.Process Improvements: Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to processes to address them.Safety Assurance: Ensuring compliance with protocols and regulations to protect personnel, equipment, and the environment in operational environments.Transportation Management: Planning and coordinating the movement of goods through various modes of transportation to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency. Warehousing Operations: Overseeing the storage, handling, and distribution of goods within a warehouse facility to ensure efficiency and accuracy.Basic Qualifications. Typically requires Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; includes at least 2 years of experience leading teams or managing projectsDemonstrated experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related fieldProven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, drive performance, and ensure accountabilityStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in operational environmentsPractical experience executing and managing processes, projects, and day-to-day operations within a functional areaWorking knowledge of OSHA standards and inventory control/management practicesRelevant specialized training and/or demonstrated ability to successfully perform assigned responsibilitiesPreferred Qualifications. Strong background in warehouse operations, transportation management, and distribution planningExperience supporting government or FAA programsExperience managing budgets, forecasting, and cost control initiativesFamiliarity with warehouse management systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)ATMCIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
