If you have expertise in workforce development, grant management, and program administration, and are looking for your next career move, apply now.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Workforce Management Coordinator to support the implementation of Indiana’s 5-year, statewide Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). This position will be full-time (37.5 hours) and hybrid (3-days onsite, 2-days remote).Only candidates not requiring sponsorship now or in the future will be considered.What You’ll DoWorkforce Development & Pipeline CoordinationLead statewide implementation of the paraprofessional workforce strategy, including Community Health Workers (CHWs) and other frontline rolesCoordinate recruitment, training, credentialing, and placement activities with training providers, employers, and community partnersSupport development of career pathways, competency frameworks, and fidelity standards aligned with statewide guidanceIdentify workforce gaps, barriers, and opportunities using statewide data and stakeholder inputPromote access to training and employment opportunities across rural communitiesGrant & Program AdministrationSupport administration of RHTP workforce-related grants, contracts, and subawardsMonitor compliance with state and federal requirements, including allowable expenditures, documentation standards, and workforce-related deliverablesTrack workforce program budgets, milestones, and performance indicatorsMaintain audit-ready documentation and ensure consistent use of state-approved templates and reporting systemsCoordination with Technical Assistance ProvidersCollaborate with statewide TA Providers to ensure aligned workforce support across rural communitiesParticipate in statewide meetings, workgroups, and training sessions convened by TA ProvidersCoordinate strategic plan development, workforce planning activities, and alignment with CMS and state prioritiesFacilitate statewide learning by sharing insights, challenges, and best practicesCMS Workforce Reporting & Performance MonitoringCoordinate statewide data collection related to workforce recruitment, training, deployment, and retentionEnsure timely submission of workforce-related reports to IDOH for state and federal reporting cyclesSupport partners in understanding CMS workforce reporting expectations, including metrics, documentation, and narrative requirementsMonitor progress toward CMS-defined workforce outcomes and support corrective action planning when neededStakeholder Engagement & CommunicationServe as a liaison between IDOH and rural workforce partners, including hospitals, FQHCs, EMS agencies, behavioral health providers, community organizations, school systems, and training institutionsEnsure that workforce activities reflect the needs and priorities of rural communitiesMaintain strong communication channels with IDOH’s Workforce and Regional Grant Initiative Teams and participate in statewide meetings as requestedProgram Implementation SupportAssist partners in interpreting state guidance, workforce requirements, and program expectationsTrack statewide workforce progress, identify barriers, and support problem solving to maintain momentumContribute to statewide consistency by using shared tools, templates, and evaluation frameworksSupport development of new workforce models, pilot programs, and innovative approaches to rural care deliveryWhat You'll NeedRequired:Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, public policy, workforce development, education, business administration, or related fieldWorkforce development, grant management, project management, program administration, or related work (5 years minimum)Experience working with healthcare organizations, rural communities, training providers, or public health systemsStrong understanding of workforce development strategies, credentialing pathways, and training program implementationKnowledge of compliance, budgeting, and reporting requirements for state or federal grantsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detailExcellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skillsPreferred:Experience with CMS-funded programs, federal grants administration, or large-scale workforce initiativesFamiliarity with Indiana’s rural health landscape, including hospitals, FQHCs, EMS, behavioral health providers, schools/community-based organizationsExperience collaborating with statewide associations, training institutions, or multi-stakeholder coalitionsKnowledge of rural health delivery, care coordination, CHW models, or health system transformationPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsAbility to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorMust be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in personSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
