Job Summary and QualificationsThe staff respiratory care practitioner provides a variety of technical and clinical therapies to patients of all ages, requiring strong clinical judgment and a commitment to the hospital mission. In this role, you will deliver respiratory, pulmonary function, and oxygen therapies while managing associated clerical duties and potentially serving as a shift leader. You will work in a dynamic environment that may include exposure to medical equipment noise and hazardous materials, requiring a flexible schedule to meet patient demands and hospital census needs.What you will do in this role:Provide a variety of technical and clinical therapies including respiratory, pulmonary function, and oxygen therapyExercise rational judgment while performing therapeutic and diagnostic proceduresManage clerical duties associated with respiratory proceduresFunction as a shift leader when assigned and supervise less experienced practitionersPerform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Validation ChecklistsMeet mutually agreed upon performance goals and objectives established annuallyProtect sensitive and confidential information appropriatelyAdhere to all company policies and proceduresWork rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on call as necessaryUtilize personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols for hazardous materialsWhat qualifications you will need:Graduate of an NBRC approved school of Respiratory CareCurrent licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Tennessee Department of HealthRegistered or Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRTT) designationBasic Life Support Certification upon hireAbility to obtain ACLS certification within one year of hire Benefits TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
