Experience in blood banking is preferred. Responsibilities include performing routine and complex quality control testing on blood and blood components, as well as high-level evaluation, review, and interpretation of test results. Candidates must be able to perform with minimal supervision, be proficient in computerized data entry and retrieval functions, and communicate effectively across departments.  Compensation and Schedule:Sign on Bonus:  $5,000Starting pay range (based on experience):  Clinical Lab Scientist 1 - $28-30/hourClinical Lab Scientist 2 - $31-34/hourShift Available: (8 or 10 - hour shifts)Second Shift: 12:30 or 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM Shift differential: $4/hour  Please Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship.Essential FunctionsPerform testing, interpret and record results.Perform quality control and proficiency testing.Comply with cGMP requirements (in appropriate areas) regarding test interpretation and validity of results. Communicate and report test results to external customers, as well as internal.  Respond to other healthcare professionals’ questions regarding results.Clerically process incoming patient blood samples. Compose written case reports for hospital patient referrals, when appropriate. Prepare laboratory reagents.
