Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Engineer, you will be part of the Automation Services department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, innovative thinking, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Lead Automation Engineer (No C2C) Location: Laurel, Maryland Pay Range: $75/hr depending on years of experience What's the Job? Design and implement scalable automation frameworks and solutions, including AI capabilities where applicable Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve automation-related issues to ensure high availability and business continuity Mentor and coach junior engineers on automation best practices, coding standards, and problem-solving approaches Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify automation opportunities within infrastructure, testing, and operational workflows Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and accelerate delivery What's Needed? Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline Five to eight years of experience in automation engineering, test automation, DevOps, or related areas Must have experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, RE Framework) and automation technologies (e.g., UiPath, BluePrism, Automation Anywhere) Proven experience designing and implementing complex automation solutions at scale Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript) What's in it for me?
