Mechanical Laboratory Technician

Our client, a leader in the nonwovens manufacturing industry, is seeking a LAB Technician I to join their team. As a LAB Technician I, you will be part of the Process Development Department supporting the Nonwoven Materials Team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Mechanical Laboratory Technician  Location: Maplewood, MN (100% onsite) Duration: 12 month contract Pay Range:$18 to $22 p/h on W-2  What's the Job? Configure, operate, and maintain process equipment, including lab-line systems Measure and characterize the properties of nonwoven materials off the production line Keep detailed records and communicate technical work and results effectively Follow and develop standard operating procedures while adapting to changing priorities and run plans Maintain a safe and organized work environment, handling materials such as lifting pails and moving pallets What's Needed? High school diploma, GED, or higher At least one (1) year of technician or operator experience in an industrial setting Experience implementing quality control tests and sampling Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with personal protective equipment such as steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and respiratory protection Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills What's in it for me?
