Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Network Architect/SME in Service Provider Backbone, LAN/WAN and DW/DM for our NIH-CIT proposal. This position is located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position. Responsibilities: The SME role’s responsibilities include: Coordinate with the Section Manager to evaluate, design, and test architecture designs and services from the roadmap backlogLead the transition of user accepted designs and services to the Operations and Security TeamsProvide subject matter expertise in Service Provider backboneProvide subject matter expertise in Enterprise-level LAN/WANProvide subject matter expertise in Enterprise-level DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing.The Network Architecture role's responsibilities include:Strategically plan, architect, design, engineer, develop, test, implement, modernize, and enhance the functional capabilities, capacity, and performance of the NIH Network and TIC Services in alignment with NIH future state architecture objectivesSoftware and hardware installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenanceTeam with the Security Section to achieve security architecture requirementsMaintain technical architecture documentationTroubleshooting and problem resolutionChange managementSupport resources responsible for security implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation Strategic & Transformative planning for network architecture services Qualifications: Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)Required Skills and ExperienceCCIE Certification: Written and practical Within each of the Cisco Certifications, the following specializations are needed and listed in order of importance: Routing and Switching, Service Provider, Data Center and Wireless Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.Preferred Skills and Experience: Posted Salary Range: USD $108,310.00 - USD $149,027.00 /Yr.
