If you like conducting electrical analysis, detailed design, and control, this could be the right position for you! You will be overseeing the electrical performance of air- and water-cooled chillers components and systems, as well as providing support to the production, laboratory, service, applications, and marketing teams located globally. As well as participating in new and exciting projects!How you will do itInvestigates and analyzes product design proposals on electrical power panels, control panels, variable speed drives, and wire harnesses in accordance with UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes, then recommends solutionsProficient in electrical design and able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the productProficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support designsResponsible for technical direction to application engineers, designers, factory operations, product marketing, and product technical serviceResponsible for the accurate completion of projectsContinuously increases expertise in all aspects of chiller electrical design, theory, construction, operation, and applicationsProficient at selecting the most suitable electrical componentsUses standard and sophisticated technical and mathematical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, processes, and standard methodologies in the fieldStrives for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development and process environmentResponsible for engineering drawings including electrical schematics, and bills of materials.Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standardsWhat we look forBS in Electrical Engineering or related field; minimum of 4 years’ experience5+ years of professional experiencePreferredExperience crafting industrial products (engineer to order, applied, or ‘made to order’ environmentsUnderstanding of chiller controlsFamiliarity with HVAC Systems and motor-driven mechanical engineering design and testExperience with mechanical systems and material resource planning (MRP) softwareExperience applying regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes
