They work with FM to better understand the hazards that can impact their business continuity to make cost-effective risk management decisions, combining property loss prevention with insurance protection.Summary This role supports senior investment professionals by assisting with fundamental and/or quantitative research to help generate investment returns that exceed established benchmarks. The position will sit within the Equities. A small portion of the role will involve ad‑hoc projects, where the individual will collaborate with members of the investment team and the Chief Investment Officer (CIO).Schedule & LocationThis is a full-time office-based position in Boston, MA (Financial District).Travel Requirements Domestic Travel may be required, up to ~10% annually.ResponsibilitiesSupport senior investment team members with qualitative and quantitative analysis of investment opportunitiesAssist with research related to existing and potential portfolio holdings, including:Macroeconomic conditionsIndustry and market trendsCompany‑specific factors such as financial results, management, strategy, and competitive positioningHelp develop analysis and recommendations that consider:Relevant risk factorsFinancial modeling and evaluationRelative attractiveness versus other investment optionsPotential impact on current or proposed portfolio positioningContribute to ad‑hoc projects as needed to support business prioritiesClearly and effectively communicate findings and recommendations through:Written summaries and analysisVerbal discussion during team meetingsAttend industry conferences and meetings to build knowledge and broaden investment perspective Qualifications: Required EducationBachelor’s degreeHighly Preferred EducationMaster’s degreeCFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)Required Work Experience1+ year of relevant experience in investments, equities in particularHighly Preferred Work Experience3+ years of relevant experience in investments, equities in particularRequired SkillsStrong skills in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and programmingFoundational knowledge of accounting, economics, and financial markets, with exposure to one or more asset classesStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environmentIntellectual curiosity and self‑motivation, with an interest in working in a fast‑paced, competitive industryExperience with Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar investment research systemsAbility to apply both qualitative and quantitative thinking to evaluate risk and return, even when information is incompleteHighly Preferred SkillsPrevious experienced covering the Tech sector (semiconductors, software, hardware, etc.) in a buys side roleAbility to distill industry dynamics and current emerging trends in the Tech sectorThe final job title, grade, and salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
