Together we continue to grow as the world’s leading energy company!About the roleWe are seeking a US based business programme manager to lead digital transformation in the Strategic Implementation and Modernization (SIM) within bp Supply Trading & Shipping (ST&S) team, focusing on the Refined Products Trading (RPT) business. As part of the SIM team, this leadership role involves significant collaboration and impact across teams as we look to continue to progress strategic deliverables. This is a permanent role enabling the delivery of a multi-year roadmap across the SIM portfolio, with initial focus on Cost Management phase 2.What you will doIn RPT, we help ensure the flow of energy by optimizing crude oil supply for our refineries, working closely with our Fuel, Aviation, Retail & Convenience and Oil and Gas businesses. Together, we aim to maximize the value of bp's hydrocarbon and bioenergy portfolios. You’ll be a delivery champion for the "Cost Management" modernization programme, which is vital for RPT as it looks to scale it’s business; establishing a globally consistent system of record for ancillary costs, replacing fragmented, manual processes and materially improving control, transparency, and governance across the transaction lifecycle. As a leader of a small team (4 direct reports), you’ll work closely with the digital delivery manager and co-lead the programme with technology, focusing on strategic milestones, timelines, budgets, and successful programme governance.Key ResponsibilitiesCo-lead the Cost Management programme with the Technology team, ensuring timely delivery of project goals.Develop and mentor programme staff.Execute the transformational roadmap, including define and execute of phase 2 activities.Ensure new processes and systems are fit for purpose and deliver expected business benefits.Govern project efficiently, organizing and leading governance meetings and providing updates to senior leadership.Communicate project updates and ensure the business is prepared for changes.Handle project scope, risks, and budget, securing funding for future planning cycles.Collaborate with regional managers, VPs and COOs to ensure business engagement.Provide honest, transparent updates to leadership on the programme’s status.Essential Education, experience and requirementsDeep understanding of Trading & Supply/Shipping business model, particularly in Crude & Refined Products markets.Experience of leading and delivering large-scale change initiatives.Significant experience in an energy trading environment, with a detailed understanding of the deal inception, execution, and lifecycle management of post trade eventsExceptional negotiation and influencing skills with senior leaders.Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.Results-oriented with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and foster a positive working environment.Desirable experienceFront-to-back knowledge of oil trading systems, policies & proceduresSpecialized understanding of ancillary costs management.How much do we pay (Base)? 126,000 to 180,000 USD annuallyNote that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.This position is eligible for US Benefits - Core. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full time employees. You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
